Daybreak Corporate Center consists of a three-story, Class-A office building with 174,000 sq. ft. of space and a three-level parking structure with 650 stalls. Hunt Electric was the design-build electrical contractor for the core and shell portion of this project. This was the first LEED Platinum Certified Building in the state of Utah and Hunt Electric was very proud to be associated with it. This first building set the environmental standard for future commercial development in Daybreak, a 4,126 acre master-planned community in South Jordan, Utah. Hunt Electric also did the electrical installation of over 80 percent of the tenant build-out. Project Highlights include 3,000-amp, 480 volt distribution system and backbone tenant distribution on each level; E-Mon tenant sub-metering for usage of energy consumption information; lightning protection; Transient Voltage Surge Suppression (TVSS) and emergency generator; fire alarm system; conduit pathways and cable tray installation for future tenant build-out; and a 21kW solar photovoltaic system installed on the roof in order to meet LEED requirements for sustainable energy.
