Hunt Electric was responsible for the design, procurement and installation of a 16 MW, 24.9 kV to 13.8 kV substation. The substation is comprised of a 6-way 25 kV switch that fed 5 distribution transformers stepping down 24.9 kV to 480 V. These transformers have fully integrated re-closers with integration into an existing utility 24.9 kV transmission line. Controls are being designed to integrate with the utility, the new geothermal plan, as well as existing generation on-site to provide protection and control for all parts of generation plant. Design coordination is held between the owner, the utility and the manufacturers if generation equipment is in multiple countries.
