Dura-Line, a leading manufacturer and distributor of telecom conduit, cable-in-conduit, and other fiber and network technologies, and Hughes General Contractors selected Hunt Electric’s Industrial Division for a comprehensive 308,000 sq.ft. tenant improvement project. 

Close collaboration with the design team ensured adaptability to project changes, while ongoing coordination with the electrical contractor responsible for the building’s core and shell facilitated seamless project progress. Our scope of work included the installation of feeder panelboards, disconnect switches, and the main one-line power to support the facility's manufacturing equipment. Additionally, we tackled the installation of lighting fixtures, loading dock levelers, and forklift chargers. 

In addressing outdoor infrastructure, our Traffic and Infrastructure Division installed 17 bases for lighting poles in the Dura-Line parking lot. Overcoming challenges related to a high-water table, we reinforced the bases, placed cobblestones for support, and backfilled the trenches with 5000 psi concrete to enhance stability. Simultaneously, Hunt’s Technology Division managed all aspects of network cabling and the installation of security equipment and structured cabling. 

Our effective coordination and communication with the general contractor, engineer, and the core and shell electrical contractor allowed us to respond promptly to design changes, ensuring the project stayed on schedule. Hunt Electric's focus on optimizing performance throughout the project not only met but exceeded expectations, empowering Dura-Line to fulfill its mission of "creating what connects us."
