CSU Spur Vida

The Colorado State University (CSU) Animal Health Center, Vida building, is a public destination at the National Western Center. It gives visitors the opportunity to watch veterinarians perform surgery on dogs and cats and observe professionals who treat horses with equine therapy.

Hunt performed three different types of work on this project. First, we did the laboratory work including all the power and lighting, the fire alarm installation, and an 800-megahertz DAS first responders’ system. Second, we did all the electrical work in the horse rehabilitation facility. This included both the indoor and outdoor horse arenas, the horse spas, the vibration plate, and numerous stalls. Hunt also installed the initial wiring for the canine and feline surgery centers. Third, we performed the electrical work on the residential floor for six apartment units, six hotel rooms, and 12 dormitories that enable people to stay with their animals during treatment.

Hunt’s work on the project helped CSU bring to life its vision of a space that connects people, community, and animals.
