The Shores Resort Lagoon

Hunt Electric was selected to provide electrical services and wiring to support the Desert Color master-planned community’s 2.5-acre recreational lagoon and largest private body of water in the St. George area. It can be used for paddleboarding, kayaking, and swimming that holds four million gallons of water and runs through the community of houses, condos, and apartments.

Our work included wiring the pump house where all the chemicals are mixed and the water is filtered, heated, tested, and treated. This critical piece of infrastructure constantly pumps and circulates water.

Because the underwater lighting is housed in concrete, we had to get it right the first time. Therefore, we communicated frequently and thoroughly with the general contractor and design team in coordination meetings to fine-tune the design and deliver flawlessly.

The Hunt Electric team was able to demonstrate their craftsmanship and professionalism by working with the design team to make adjustments to ensure that electrical junction boxes remained inconspicuous and did not detract from the pool’s visual appearance.

The team’s electrical work helped make the lagoon a showpiece of this master-planned community.
