Hunt Electric was contracted to design and install a 2.4 MW DC
utility-scale, ground-mount photovoltaic system for the U.S. Army Corps
of Engineers. The scope of work included the following:
- Provide stamped drawings and calculations
- Material procurement
- Project management
- Surveying
- Trenching
- Boring
- Installation of underground vaults and conduit, backfill, high voltage wire and equipment, data communications wire and equipment, low voltage wire, ground grid, string wiring, combiner and re-combiner, structural piers, racking tables, 320W modules, inverters, concrete pads and inverter buildings, lighting, transformers, switchgear, reverse power relays, 3rd party testing, communications and DIARMF system integration to the Army network.
This project was completed in just under six months. A total of 7,632 modules were installed. This system will produce 4,079,500kWh annually!
