Colorow & Arapeen is a unique project at the University of Utah Research Park that contains five types of standard solar installations between two sites with multiple interconnection points. Hunt Electric installed system types including fixed tilt ground mount, ballasted roof, fixed roof, traditional parking canopies, and long span parking canopies. This project required utility interconnection agreements, paralleling and coordination agreements with the utility. Energy generated by this project is equivalent to eliminating the carbon dioxide emissions of 123,938 gallons of gas annually. These new solar arrays contribute to the University of Utah’s goal of carbon neutrality by the year 2050.
