The PV system installed is designed to offset approximately 74% of the electrical load at Burton Lumber’s Salt Lake City location. The scope of work included 2,676 Aleo 240 watt modules connected to 48 Power One, three-phase inverters mounted on the roof. There are 223 strings of 12 modules with 4 or 5 strings connected to each inverter. Also included are two 400 A and four 200 A AC panels connected to an 800 A disconnect switch and one 100 AC panel connected to a 60 A disconnect switch. In addition, a weather station to monitor ambient temperature, cell temperature and irradiance was incorporated into the project.
