Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine

The Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine stands as an impressive 140,000 sq. ft., cutting-edge learning facility meticulously crafted to mold students into osteopathic medical professionals. This state-of-the-art structure encompasses essential features, including an anatomy lab, simulation lab, study pods on each floor, collaborative learning spaces, and faculty and administrative offices.

Hunt's Electrical Division took charge of installing all electrical components, a backup generator, and emergency systems, meticulously handling raceways and conduits. The team's careful attention to the high-end finishes, coupled with their exceptional quality of lighting work, gave the building's interior with a striking visual appeal, meeting the owner's aspiration for a truly standout structure. Simultaneously, Hunt's Technology Division expertly managed the installation of structured cabling conduits, video walls, and the establishment of 10 fully equipped server rooms. The AV Department at Hunt played a pivotal role in installing video monitors in over 40 study pods and their programming. Additionally, Hunt's DAS Department ensured public safety compliance by installing an Emergency Responder Communications Enhancement System (ERCES).

The project's unique challenge of being constructed on an abandoned landfill required Hunt to undertake methane mitigation. This involved vigilant monitoring of potential methane gas release during activities penetrating the soil beyond two feet. The Infrastructure Division at Hunt played a critical role in executing the project, systematically removing contaminated soil and replacing it with fresh, clean soil to align with the Remedial Action Plan and ensure stringent compliance standards were met.
