53rd Center - Security National Headquarters – Core and Shell

Layton Construction selected Hunt Electric as the electrical design-build contractor on the second phase of the 53rd Center, serving as the Security National Corporate Office. Located at the Center of the Salt Lake Valley, this six-story, 219,000 square foot, class A office building with a parking garage and multiple parking lots is the second building to occupy the 19-acre campus. This expansion marks a critical milestone for a company that began operations in a rented house in 1965.

Hunt’s work on the core and shell of the corporate office includes designing and installing the electrical systems, including the power connections for the 86-foot long 21-foot-tall media wall that wraps around a corner of the building. We also worked with the city of Murray to install lighting in the parking lots.

Hunt’s Technology division installed intrusion detection systems, security cameras, and card access systems and connected the parking structure to the building.

Our team collaborated closely with IBI Group, Layton Construction, and the owner  to ensure the project was designed and delivered within the budget and within the schedule set by the team.
