The Dixie State University Campus Suites are a 144,000 sq. ft. facility that consists of 92 suites to make the on-campus living experience more convenient for students. As a design-build partner on this project, Hunt Electric accelerated the design phase by coordinating closely with the architect, mechanical subcontractors, and the rest of the team to meet the project’s demanding deadline. Hunt’s preconstruction and prefabrication departments were instrumental in reducing construction time.

Efficiently identifying and relocating the existing utilities was a critical element of the project. Hunt Electric worked in close cooperation with DSU facilities personnel to locate the utility lines, plan for their removal, and relocate them. We worked on an active campus, so it was vital to take precautions to ensure student safety by installing safety barriers and carefully managing material handling. Our strong working relationships with the general contractor, DSU, and other subcontractors on this project helped us deliver an outstanding facility.
