Komatsu’s new 160,000 sq. ft. facility sits on a 30-acre site in the small town of Elko, Nevada. It is designed to support all the construction and mining industries in the region. Hunt Electric provided all the design-build electrical work, included an incredibly sophisticated HVAC system and a machine shop with multiple 150-ton bridge cranes and 45-ton cranes in the welding bays. The electrical system features (2) 4000 amp 480 volt services feeding several electrical rooms with fire alarm and gas detection systems. Our ITS department also provided a complete phone/data structured cabling system, wireless access points and multiple conference A/V systems.
