Liberty Sky is a 22-story apartment building located downtown Salt Lake City. The tower contains 272 units and a 4-level garage with 309 parking spaces. This is the first upscale high-rise residential rental community in the downtown area. The exposed concrete and floor-to-ceiling glass give the building an industrial look and feel.
Because there is a zero margin of error allowed when installing an electrical system into exposed concrete, preplanning and collaboration were vital to the project’s success. Hunt’s Electrical, Engineering, BIM, and Preconstruction teams designed the electrical system to such precise standards that the installation was accurate within 1/16th of an inch throughout the building.
Our prefabrication department manufactured electrical panels and component kits for all of the 272 units. Our Technology division installed access control, camera systems, and a Distributed Antenna System (DAS) to strengthen the public safety signals used by emergency responders. Our Electrical, Engineering and Design-Build, Technology, and Infrastructure teams collaborated in all phases to deliver an outstanding project within the set schedule.
