New Global Headquarters Focused on Energy Efficiency

Young Living is a company based in Lehi, UT that offers essential oils and essential oil infused products. Their new global headquarters was designed and constructed to fulfill both LEED and Green Globe certification.

The unique design of the building draws on nature elements, including a three-story waterfall and botanical atrium with large skylights. The company has set a zero-waste goal and part of making their 6-story building more energy efficient involved the installation of a ballasted solar panel system on the roof as well as on a car port.

Hunt Electric’s Renewable Energy Division had to get creative and think outside of the box to design and install the solar system comprised of square panels to fit on top of the curved carport, designed by the architect to highlight the natural curve of the building. The impressive new space also boasts an amphitheater, research greenhouse, science lab, and museum.
