Summit County Expands Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure

Summit County recently installed new EV chargers throughout their district as part of their commitment to sustainability and to support their expanding electric vehicle fleet. Hunt Electric was the solar contractor and the scope of work included (2) L2 EV charging stations and (1) L3 rapid charging EV station at the Summit County Offices, (5) L2 EV chagrining stations at Ecker Hill Park and Ride, (2) L2 EV charging stations at the Park City Health Department, and (2) L2 EV charging stations at Kamas Services Center.

The chargers are currently open for use by the general public free of charge. However, accessing most of the chargers requires using app that will help the county track data for current and future needs. By investing in electric vehicle charging infrastructure, the county aims to aid in the transition to using clean vehicles that help reduce tailpipe emissions and keep Utah air clean.
