The scope of work included BIM, electrical site and distribution systems, I.T.S./Data Communication, fire alarm, security, and access control systems.

Hunt Electric was contracted to provide BIM services to coordinate the electrical distribution in the underground parking garages early on in the project. These systems provide power to over 1 million sq.ft. of parking as well as to the above ground retail, office, and residential buildings.

Block 76 parking consists of over 1.2 million sq.ft. of parking and over 600,000’ of conduit. All of the conduit installed on levels P4 through P2 had AutoCAD overlay drawings where every conduit, sleeve, J-box and light fixture for all the electrical systems was laid out. This was done due to more than 30,000’ of imbedded unistrut installed to the post tension concrete. Our trimble units were utilized during this process.

The P1 level had over 130,000 feet of 4-inch conduit and thousands of feet of every other size of conduit. All of this conduit and over (70) 4’x5’ J-boxes are the backbone for the retail project above. To fit all of this and all the other trades in one ceiling space, Hunt Electric did BIM 3D modeling for the P1 level.

I.T.S./Data Communication package included backbone, trunk copper, hybrid fiber optics to support PARCS, DAS and all-system support. This package also included access control systems and a call-for-assistance emergency phone system.
