Petzl America Headquarters is a LEED Platinum Certified, 83,000 sq. ft., design-build office and warehouse space. Unique features of the building include a 55' climbing wall (one of the tallest vertical walls in Utah), roof-mounted solar PV array, a rainwater capturing system and electric car charging stations for employees and visitors to use. Additionally, recycled materials and products were purchased within a 500-mile radius of the facility.

Hunt Electric provided the electrical work for the general office space and their warehouse that serves their distribution needs. Petzl utilizes a unique 'Perfect Pic' inventory system that is used to catalog and store Petzl's products for shipping. Petzl wanted to incorporate as much natural light into the facility as possible, including inside the warehouse. With this in mind, the amount of daylight available throughout the building, along with a strategically placed courtyard, minimizes the need for artificial lighting during the daytime hours. All the lights are controlled with occupancy sensors, and the entire building's energy use is monitored with a complex Building Automated System.

Hunt Electric also provided I.T.S./Data Communication services for this project. The work included the design of an Intrusion Detection System, the installation of 16 acess control card readers, 100 voice/data locations, 13 wireless data locations, 5 single-voice wall phone locations, 32 quad data locations and 9 TV locations throughout the facility. Additionally, 1 extended IDF with a 6-strand 50uM Multimode fiber optic cable backbone was installed in the building.
